I need this, no, WE need this to be a PSA for guys of the internet who are doing online dating, on how to send a first message.
If I was being honest with the title of this post, I probably would have called it something like “How to write a good first message according to what Single Steve thinks is a good first message, but I’m not really sure you should take my advice because I rarely get responses to my messages”.
An even smaller percentage of emails are actually responded to. After you left the field, that bright purple cow would be the one cow that stuck out in your mind.
Why do women only respond to a small percentage of emails? Let’s say you were asked to select one of the cows in the field to pet.
Only a small percentage of emails that are sent by men are ever opened by women. What if, out of that crowd of cows, one of them was bright purple?
This is basic, but sometimes daters forget that the first thing a match will do when they receive an interesting email is click on the profile of the person who sent it.
If your profile is half-finished, or Arctic in its brevity, or doesn’t include photos, most likely you won’t receive a reply.
A very well-spoken and clearly an educated guy, he sent me a message detailing a situation with a girl he knew... The basic gist of today's post is, basically, that this -- what we're about to talk about -- is how you write online dating messages and emails that don't get ignored...
and, in fact, get you exactly what you want: responses, phone numbers, dates, and success.
